Silicone Breast augmentation on a Petite Female from Tucson, AZ*

This is a 24 On examination she was very petite. We tried on different implant sizers and she liked the how she looked with the 200 cc Mentor implant sizers in a sports bra. I explained that I would perform her breast augmentation through an incision in her breast fold and I would place her implant below the muscle. The advantage of the inframammary incision is that there is less trauma to the breast tissue and better control of the implant pocket. We also discussed that since she was so petite that she would be at high risk for the implant being visible if we placed her implants above the muscle since there would not be a lot of breast tissue to camouflage the implant. We had discussed implant options and she felt that she liked the smooth round implant the best. Her breast augmentation was done at a surgery center in Tucson, Arizona. Her recovery was uneventful. We started her doing implant massage on her fifth postoperative day. She wore a sports bra and avoided pools and baths for six weeks. After six weeks, she did not have any activity restrictions and was able to start wearing underwire bras. She is now six months out from her breast augmentation and is wearing a full B cup bra. She loves the results of her breast augmentation.
