Breast Augmentation, excited with new D cup breast in Tucson, Az*

This is a 23 year old woman from Tucson, Arizona who was interested in breast implants. She was a B cup and did not feel her breast size was proportionate for her tall frame. She had not any prior issues with her breasts and did not have any family history of breast cancer. During our initial consultation her breast exam was unremarkable, and she did not have any breast masses. Her bra cup was a small B and she was hoping to be a D cup. She tried on sizers and we decided together that a 450 cc implant achieved her size goals, while fitting within the confines of her base width. She did not have any ptosis(sagging) of her breasts, so she did not need a concomitant breast lift. We discussed that I would place her breast implants behind the muscle and I would use an inframammary incision. Her surgery took place at an outpatient surgery center in Tucson, Arizona. I used a Keller funnel to place Mentor smooth round moderate profile plus 450 cc breast implants in a submuscular pocket. She tolerated her surgery well and was discharged to home from the surgery center. She started implant massage on postoperative day five. I had her wear a sports bra for the first six weeks and she was restricted to no heavy lifting of greater than 15 lbs for the first six weeks. She is now four months out from her breast augmentation, and she is the full D cup that she desired and is very happy with her surgical results!
