Breast Augmentation, High Profile Implants in Tucson, AZ*

This is a 47 year old from Tucson, Arizona that came to Rao Plastic Surgery to discuss a breast augmentation. She was an A cup and was looking to be a D cup. In her initial consultation I learned that she had a normal mammogram and she had been doing regular self-breast exams and never had felt any masses. Her physical exam did not reveal any masses, and I took measurements to help guide implant selection. She tried on different implant sizers and liked the appearance of a 550 cc sizers. I had a discussion with her and explained that 550 cc implant fit well for her base width, but I explained that her nipple to fold distance was short. I explained that we would need to lower her fold to accommodate the implant, otherwise the nipple areola complex will not be centered over the implant. We also discussed that since she had a two centimeter upper pole pinch meaning that she had enough soft tissue that the implants could be placed either in front of the muscle or behind the muscle. She underwent a breast augmentation at a surgery center in Tucson, Arizona. In order to accommodate the implant, she wanted I lowered the fold by roughly 3 cm. I created a subglandular pocket and her 560 cc smooth round full profile Natrelle implants were placed using a Keller funnel. She was discharged home from the surgery center shortly after surgery. She had a smooth recovery and is now four months out from her surgery and loves her new look.
