Breast Reduction, Tucson, Az*

This is a 24-year-old woman who was seeking a consultation for a breast reduction at Rao Plastic Surgery. She was wearing G cup bras and was hoping to have her breasts reduced to a C cup. She was experiencing back, neck and shoulder pain caused by her large breasts. Physical examination showed bra strap grooving as well as ptosis, or sagging, of her breasts. She had also been experiencing rashes in her inframammary fold that caused discomfort. At her consultation, I believed she would be a good candidate for breast reduction surgery. I performed the surgery at an outpatient surgery center in Tucson, AZ, using a Wise pattern or anchor incision technique. I removed over one pound of breast tissue from each breast. She had a smooth postoperative course. She is one year out from surgery and is no longer experiencing the pain that she had pre-operatively.
