Breast Reduction with Severe Ptosis/Macromastia Prior to Surgery, in Tucson AZ*

This is a 59 year old woman who was seeking a consultation for a breast reduction at Rao Plastic Surgery due to concerns of macromastia, severe ptosis, or sagging, as well as back and neck pain. She was wearing DDD cup bras and was hoping to have her breasts reduced to a C cup. Our physical examination showed severe ptosis, or sagging, of her breasts as well as severe macromastia. During her consultation, I believed she would be a great candidate for breast reduction surgery in order to help her achieve the comfort and appearance that she was searching for. Soon after, I performed the surgery at an outpatient surgery center in Tucson, AZ. The appearance of her breasts were already symmetrical, so roughly the same amount of fat was removed from both breasts. She had a smooth post-operative course. It has now been about 8 months since her surgery, and is no longer experiencing the pain and discomfort that she had pre-operatively. She is able to do certain things now that were difficult for her prior to surgery, and we couldn’t be happier for her. Another confident and satisfied patient!
