Breast Reduction from a G to D Cup in Tucson, Arizona*

This is a 41 year old woman who was seeking a consultation for a breast reduction at Rao Plastic Surgery. She was wearing G cup bras and was hoping to have her breasts reduced to a full D cup to approve her symmetry. She had severe macromastia and was experiencing discomfort with how heavy her breasts felt. Our physical examination showed ptosis, or sagging, of her breasts. There was some asymmetry in her breasts as well. During her consultation, I believed she would be a great candidate for breast reduction surgery in order to help her achieve the comfort and appearance that she was searching for. Soon after, I performed the surgery at an outpatient surgery center in Tucson, AZ. Using an anchor incision technique, I removed 800g of breast tissue from the right breast, and 680g on the left side. She had a smooth postoperative course. It has now been almost 5 months since her surgery, and is no longer experiencing the asymmetry and discomfort that she had pre-operatively. She is very pleased with the appearance of her new breasts!
