Surgery for Prominent Ears in Tucson, AZ*

This 24-year-old woman from Tucson, Arizona came to Rao Plastic Surgery in the hopes of improving the appearance of her ears. She disliked the prominence of her ears and was hoping she would be able to address this with otoplasty. On exam, I noted an overdeveloped conchal bowl bilaterally which was responsible for the projection of her ears that she disliked. She underwent otoplasty with incisions on the posterior aspect of the ears and through accommodation of sutures and resection of the cartilage we were able to shape her ears. She is now three months out and no longer feels self-conscious about wearing her hair up.
