3 Ways to Help You Look Younger
I meet with many patients who say they want to look younger but cringe at the thought of looking unnatural. They really just want to soften the wrinkles and lines that etch their faces and make them look older than they feel. Fortunately there are a number of excellent treatment options, from BOTOX® Cosmetic injections to facelift surgery, at my Tucson practice.
Which option is best for you depends on your specific aesthetic goals and the condition of your skin. In many cases, combining procedures for a comprehensive facial rejuvenation is the ideal treatment path. The most common anti-aging options include:
BOTOX and Dysport®: Forehead wrinkles, crow’s feet, and the vertical “worry lines” between the eyebrows are some of the most common concerns for both men and women. BOTOX and Dysport both work the same way: They intercept nerve signals to the tiny muscles that cause lines to form. A skilled injector can minimize these lines without giving the patient a “frozen” appearance. The result is a rested, relaxed look, as though you’ve just returned from a restful vacation.
Fillers: Injectable fillers are another non-surgical option that soften facial wrinkles and add volume to sagging tissue. We can fill in lines and dark circles under the eyes, plus pump up the lips and cheeks with these products. They’ve become increasingly popular, especially for men and women who want to look younger but would prefer to avoid surgery for time or cost reasons. Combining fillers with BOTOX or Dysport offers a comprehensive approach that is sometimes called a “liquid facelift.”
Facelift surgery: If you want longer-lasting and more dramatic results, a surgical facelift is an excellent alternative to minimally invasive options. Facelifts using advanced surgical techniques and performed by experienced plastic surgeons can get natural-looking results. A facelift is for treating jowls and sagging in the mid-face and lower face areas. Combined with a neck lift, it can rejuvenate the lower two-thirds of the face.
Scheduling a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon with experience in facial rejuvenation techniques is the best way to learn about the options available and what treatment path would best suit your concerns. Call us at (520) 209-2500 to schedule your appointment.
